New Baby Hat

I found out a friend of mine just had a baby! Yay!! Here's the hat I made for her little girl. Since it's summer and hot, hot, hot... I went with a cotton watermelon themed hat. I think it turned out pretty cheerful.

I also got some new yarn last weekend- Sierra by Cascade Yarns. The yarn is 80% Pima cotton, 20% wool. It's soft and such a vibrant shade of pink. Also last weekend, I picked up some Debbie Bliss cotton yarn (I've heard good things about it, so I'm anxious to try it out).

P.S. Need to know how big to make a hat? Check out this post by Little Birdie Secrets. It's my go to place when I'm free styling!!

Sesame Street Inspiration

Girl in the Air has a super cute Sesame Street hat pattern. I could see making these for a nephew or niece. Maybe next fall.

Blessings!

Bear-y Cute

I also made these recently. I found the pattern at Alli Crafts. Can you imagine how cute these would be on a new little one? The second hat with the ear flaps was at my hubby's suggestion. I love them both!

Too Cute!

It was love at first sight! This pattern for a strawberry hat comes from Little Birdie Secrets. Isn't it adorable? I can't wait to give one of these to a friend who's having a baby soon!

I made a few changes along the way, but stuck with the sizing as given on the website. It worked wonderfully.

Here it is again, step by step.
